The world football governing body has released the latest rankings of the continent's soccer teams - revealing mixed fortunes for the teams.
South Africa remains unchanged at number 60.
RWANDA who face Mali tomorrow in a Group H 2014 World Cup qualifier, have seen their ranking plummet, according to the latest rankings released by the World football governing body, Fifa on Thursday.
The Amavubi, who had last month been the highest movers in the region after gaining 7 spots to 130th and 39thin Africa, have dropped to 132nd in the world but remain unmoved in Africa in 39th position.
In the East African region, Uganda's rankings have continued to sink as they are now ranked 85th. They also dropped from 21st to 22 in Africa.
Kenya's ranking did not move - retaining the 126th position in the World. They however dropped to 37th in Africa.
Tanzania however, moved 8 places to 119th in the world and took the 33rd position in Africa. Burundi dropped 9 places to 124th in the World and are ranked 36th in Africa.
Mali are third in Africa but moved one place to 24th in the world, only six places below five-times world champions Brazil, who remained at a record low.
Ivory Coast are still Africa's number one ranked country and 13th in the World (dropping one spot down). Ghana, Nigeria and Algeria complete the top 5 positions in Africa.
Japan are Asia's highest-ranked team in 26th position while Ivory Coast come, 13th, are the top Africans and Mexico, 15th, are the CONCACAF region's top-ranked side.
The top 6 positions in the world remained constant with Spain retaining the top spot followed by Germany, Argentina, England, Italy and Colombia respectively.
